| "Funnyfellowhaha" you are completely out of touch. If you take the time to look, you will find the majority of Hams are engineers, and have very high tech jobs. |

| Yah I was just reading that myself and was thinking at the worst these folks are using their own radios and resources in an official and organised capacity under supervision and their talents are greatly appreciated and used. Southern California Catalina Island Fire used Hams to communicate all over the island...It was on the news. " Funny fellow " these people are not CB'ers. When you see someone make fun of something that is seen as a good thing it does make you question the motivation ! |

| Funnyfellowhahaha...In total agreement with that other poster did you know for instance that the National Hurrican Center and National Severe Storms Lab rely quite heavily in trained storm spotters and skywarn networks...oh wait their not CB'ers their licensed hams. During the 1989 San Fran Quake EMS centers used Ham radio because their comm systems were out. Hams who do this are trained by public service agencies to assist - when needed ! People who ridicule are making up for their own weakness |
